D-bok is the name of Fagbokforlaget's digital books. In the spring of 2020, we came up with a brand new online application for reading d-books. Both appearance and technology have been updated. You can now read the e-books in the browser without being connected to the internet. On iPad and iPhone, we recommend that you download the d-bok app from the Appstore.
D-books have some built-in interactivity and functionality that is standard for all books:

- Highlight and take notes
- Search for words and phrases
- More aids for navigating the books, i.a. with interactive table of contents, thumbnail display of pages and the option to mark pages as favorites
- Connected dictionaries with translation into a number of languages.
- All markings, notes, favorites and settings are personal and are saved continuously.
- Many d-books contain extra enrichments In the form of audio, video, animation or interactive tasks
- Works both online and offline
My job was to:

- Create Design System that will cover different platforms (iOS and Web app)
- Build complete UI
- Prepare interactive prototypes in several different versions (different content inside depending on testers age)
- Plan, prepare and support moderated user tests in Elementary schools
- Handoff and support developers during implementation.

We took a trip to Norway to test our solution. I was responsible for:
- Preparing moderated user tests (decide what do we want to test, define a goal, write test scripts)

- Creating designs and prototype flows

- Technical aspect (One person was conducting the interview with participant in a small room. Participant was testing the prototype by completing tasks on an iPad. We were recording the iPad screen and participants face. The biggest challenge was to connect all the devices in a way that would enable the rest of the team (sitting in the next room) to watch the interview live, along with the iPad screen. We had very bad internet connection in that place so it needed to be solved locally and wired.

Findings from the interviews allowed us to improve the current solution (there wasn't any huge/critical fixes) and write down ideas for the future.
